LCF is special because of its neighborhoods, trees, schools, volunteers, families, and small-town feel. Ernest believes development and policy decisions should respect the city's residential identity and listen to residents.
Residents should be able to understand what City Hall is doing, why decisions are being made, and how they can participate. Ernest supports clear communication, accessible staff reports, and better public engagement.
Ernest has spent more than 25 years managing large budgets, tight deadlines, complex projects, and competing priorities. He will bring practical budget discipline and careful stewardship to City Hall.
Fire safety, emergency preparedness, traffic safety, and neighborhood quality of life should remain core city priorities. Ernest supports practical, resident-focused safety measures.
As a technologist and problem-solver, Ernest believes the city can use practical tools to improve communication, efficiency, transparency, and service — without wasting taxpayer money on gimmicks.
LCF runs on volunteers. Ernest believes City Hall should support and respect the residents, service clubs, schools, nonprofits, and community groups that make the city work.
